What is the difference between the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) and the Metal Buildings Institute (MBI)?
The Metal Buildings Institute is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, founded by the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association in 2001. The MBCEA is a trade association created in 1968 to provide programs and services to the contractor segment of the metal building systems industry. The association proudly boasts membership from virtually every aspect of the systems building industry. The goal of the Metal Buildings Institute is to improve the quality of in place metal building construction by providing education and training programs to metal building contractors, erectors, and students in construction programs, for the direct benefit of specifiers, designers, and owners.
